The Sussexes alleged Jeremy Clarkson failed to address his “long-standing pattern” of writing articles spewing “hate speech” when he apologized to Meghan for his Sun column.

On Monday 17 January, the TV presenter apologized to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for a “disgraceful” article he wrote about the latter in December last year.

But the couple said Mr Clarkson “only wrote” to Prince Harry, who was not the subject of his article. They also dismiss his claims that he wrote the column “in a hurry”.

In the article, the former Top Gear presenter said he despised the Duchess on a “cellular level”, adding that he had dreamed of the day she would be forced to parade naked across Britain while a crowd chanted “shame” and threw “poo” at her.

In his apology, Mr. Clarkson said: “I am really sorry. All the way from the balls of my feet to the bulbs of my head.

Jeremy Clarkson’s apology has been accused of misogyny

Jeremy Clarkson’s apology to Meghan Markle has been accused of misogyny.

Shaun O’Grady of The Independent wrote: “Even [Clarkson] He dug himself out of the muck that made matters worse – a half-hearted, unseriousness and unapologetics that culminated in emails to Prince Harry but not Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. The wheels fell in front of Clarkson, finally.

“Damn a cynical eye, Clarkson’s uncharacteristic modesty of late stems from his desire to hang on to whatever media he has left.”
