David Moyes has explained West Ham’s move to sign Danny Ings, claiming the striker is “as good as it gets” during the January transfer window and backing him to keep the Hammers away from relegation.

Stan Collymore urged Arsenal and Manchester United to move to Anthony Gordon.

The Everton winger has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer but the move ultimately fell through. Gordon has only scored three times this season, but Collymore believes he should remain a wanted man.

“Gordon is young enough that he still has time to develop, so if I were the manager at the likes of Arsenal and United I would certainly include him in my list,” Collymore told CaughtOffside.

“Just because you can never get enough players, especially home-grown ones, who are proven hits in the Premier League, who are attack-minded and good at getting into the penalty area. They are like gold dust.”
