Who would have thought that by the time this clash between Liverpool and Chelsea comes around, we’d be witnessing a battle for supremacy in mid-table?
Injuries killed any realistic chance of a title run for either side.
But three points could restore any slight boost to Champions League qualification.

It looked like Liverpool would get their season back on track – until back-to-back losses to Brentford and Brighton.
Klopp’s side have won three and lost two of their last five Premier League matches.
Chelsea ended a three-game losing streak by beating Crystal Palace last time 1-0.
In the last five matches they have won twice, lost twice and drawn once.
What’s the team news and any injuries to worry about?
Liverpool’s season has been plagued with a whole host of injuries.
Roberto Firmino, Arthur Melo, Virgil van Dijk, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz are excluded.
Darwin Nunez and Konstantino Tsimikas struggle to shake off the noise of the game.
Chelsea’s medical room is busier.
Edouard Mendy, Christian Pulisic, Armando Bruja, Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana, Rhys James, Dennis Zakaria, Raheem Sterling, and N’Golo Kante are all outcasts.
Joao Felix will miss the game after being sent off on his debut against Fulham. But new £88m signing Mykhailo Mudryk is set to emerge – he thinks he may have to wait on the bench.

It is almost impossible to know who will finally go up for Liverpool at the moment.
They desperately need some genius from Mo Salah – surely it’s time for him to find his goalscoring boots?
Mason Mount is the only certainty in the Chelsea XI at the moment.
Boss Potter is clearly a huge fan, and will count on the Englishman to lead his team.

What did the managers say?
Asked if the players who helped Liverpool beat Wolves in the FA Cup played themselves in the Chelsea game, Klopp said: “Yes, yes. I don’t think it would be appropriate after one game to say, ‘That would be true.’ team for the next eight weeks. lets take alook.
“We’re not in a casting show. But, of course, the door is open to everyone. Whoever fights has a good chance of playing.”
Potter, speaking after ending their dismal run with victory at Palace, said: “I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel good because it’s nice to get a win.
“I thought we played better than when we didn’t get any points against Fulham [in the 2-1 defeat on Thursday].
“And then when you get the red card for Joao Felix, who is probably the last person you think will get a red card in that game, you think we made a mistake in terms of luck.
“But you have to keep going and you have to deal with the tough times, deal with tough situations, accept the criticism that comes your way and take your responsibilities. That’s what we tried to do.”

You’d think both teams would settle for nothing less than victory in their current predicament.
Injury issues can see it can be a bit hell for the skin at times, and we’ll go for the not so brave option with a draw – Liverpool 2-2 Chelsea.
good morning! Welcome to the Liverpool-Chelsea match!
Good morning football fans, and welcome to SunSport’s coverage of Liverpool v Chelsea, a match that has presented some matches in the past.
This is the first time the two teams have met this season, and it is shaping up to be another great match, with both teams performing so far this season.
We could see the debut of Mykhailo Modric’s new big money for Chelsea, but it remains to be seen if he makes the starting line-up today.
This tie has produced some special moments over the years, with Liverpool fans hoping former Chelsea player Mo Salah can recreate his stunning creation against the Blues in 2019.
As for Chelsea fans, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind a moment as Eden Hazard’s otherworldly dribbled across half the team before blasting it into the net in 2018.
Stay tuned here on SunSport for the full set of kick off at 12:30pm, plus live coverage of the game as it kicks off.
