LOVE Island was plunged into crisis tonight after video footage surfaced of reckless bodyguard Namani knocking his rival to the ground in a street brawl.

The violent boxer, 21, who was already involved in a villa shootout with Shaq Mohammed, was pictured fighting after a wild night out.

In the excruciating short clip, his victim is left reeling after being punched in the face before Namani follows through and knocks him down again.

Last night, ITV bosses scrambled to investigate their vetting process as his future on the show hangs by the thinnest of threads.

A source revealed the footage – which was taken last May after a night out in his hometown of Doncaster, South York, was first shared on Snapchat.

It shows him squatting in front of another celebrant with his fists raised in a boxing position.

The two commercial strikes before Namani launches his fierce attack.

His victim is teetering to his feet after the first savage blow while a guard yells “I’m not a bully” and a friend watches as he cries: “Go on a guard.”

Guard throws a second punch, shouting: “I’m not a bully, I’m not a bully.”

Then he stands over his immobile victim, turns to the camera to continue his rant: “In my mother’s life…”

Over recent years, ITV2 has tightened screening procedures before islanders enter the villa to include mental health checks and medical checks.

It followed the sudden suicides of former contestants Mike Thalassitis, 26, and Sophie Gradon, 32.

As part of the process, potential contestants also agree to have their social media screened by the producers.

This group has also received training in mutually respectful behavior after Women’s Aid was forced to raise concerns about “gaslighting” the Class of 2022 including Gemma Owen’s ex Luca Bish.

A friend told The Sun: “We were all very surprised when we heard Harris was going to Love Island.

“He had a very low temper and if someone said something he was more than ready to fight.

“He has the advantage of being a boxer and knows he can do damage because he trains four times a week.

“He knows what he’s capable of because of his training. That kind of thing has to be kept in the ring.

“I’m surprised ITV hasn’t done more checks.

“I saw the feud between him and Shaq and I wasn’t surprised at all. That’s the kind of guy he is.

“What you see is what you get.”

The TV salesman stirred controversy even before he entered the villa after revealing himself as a tough player in entrance interviews.

In a stunning rant, he bragged to his ex-wife, “She was more interested in me.

“She did not have the privilege of meeting my family.

“I just slept with her, she was just one of them.”

This came after the girl, Courtney Hodgson, accused him online of dumping her to join the show.

Then days later, he was involved in a heated altercation with Shaq after an X-Rated game of beer pong.

Shaq called Harris a “sex stirrer” after young lad David Salaco asked if he enjoyed his snooping with Shaq’s Miss Tania Manhinga.

David immediately made it clear that he felt uncomfortable answering with Shaq sitting nearby.

Shack replied, “This f**king… What’s wrong with you, brother? You’re so annoying, brother.”

“You do this all the time bro, like relaxing.”

A guard yelled again, “Shut up the damned man.”

Shaq’s anger fired back, “I shut the f**k up you f**king p***k.”

A Love Island spokesperson said: “Language and behavior at the villa is always closely monitored, and Islanders are reminded of what we consider acceptable during their time on the show.

“Comprehensive care protocols for all islanders include video training and guidelines covering language and behavior.”
