Valentina Trespalasios’ body was found in a suitcase over the weekend

A famous DJ was found strangled to death and wrapped in a bag that had been left in a dumpster, it was reported.

Colombian authorities are investigating the murder of Valentina Trespalaceos, 23, after her body was found in a dumpster in the capital, Bogota.

Autopsy results showed deep grooves in her neck, which were likely caused by strangulation.

The Sun reported that her boyfriend, John Poulos, from Texas, has been missing since her body was found.

Police have now launched a manhunt for the 35-year-old, who has deleted all his social media accounts.

The couple had been dating for eight months despite the English-Spanish language barrier and used translation apps to communicate.

Her body was found by a member of the public over the weekend. Afraid of what was inside, they called the police.

Forensics went to find things belonging to the victim lying next to him.
