Justin Roiland has been dropped from two other animated shows, Solar Opposites and Koala Man, after being charged with felony domestic violence against an ex-girlfriend, one day after he was dropped from Rick and Morty.

US network Hulu announced Wednesday that it has “terminated our relationship with Justin Roiland,” a day after Adult Swim, the distributor for Rick and Morty, issued a similar statement saying it would no longer be voicing the titular characters or serving as showrunner.

The 42-year-old man pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial after being charged with bodily injury and false imprisonment by threat, fraud, violence or deception in Orange County. The charges relate to a 2020 incident against an unidentified woman with whom Roiland was living and dating at the time.

In a statement released earlier this month, Roiland’s attorney T. Edward Wellborn said, “Not only is Justin innocent, but we also have every expectation that this matter is on course to be dismissed once the attorney general’s office completes its systematic review of the evidence.”

All three shows would go on without his participation.

Roiland was a co-creator, executive producer, and voice of the main character, Corvo, in Solar Opposites, an animated comedy about a family of aliens who crash-land in the United States.

Season 4 was expected to be released this year, but it’s not yet clear if Korvo will be recast before it airs.

The first season of Koala Man, an American-Australian animated comedy about dad’s suburban superhero ego, was produced by Roiland, who also guest-voiced a character.

Koala Man and Solar Opposites are both showing on Hulu in the US and on Disney+ in the UK and Australia. They were all produced with Roiland’s animation studio, Solo Vanity Card Productions by Justin Roiland.

Video game studio Squanch Games, which Roiland co-founded, also announced that Roiland had resigned from the company on January 16, four days after the domestic abuse charges came to light. The studio’s first game, High on Life, was created by Roiland and became a hit on Xbox.

“The passionate team at Squanch will continue to develop games that we know our fans will love while continuing to support and improve High On Life,” the studio said in a statement.
