The OnePlus Pad shows off its metal unibody design and Oreo-style camera

Earlier today, OnePlus confirmed that its first-ever tablet will be unveiled at its February 7th event. The company even shared a teaser image, though that only offers a clear look at the OnePlus 11 and OnePlus Buds Pro 2, which have already launched in China (the event on the 7th is for their global launch). The tablet itself has remained shrouded in mystery.

Strange, isn’t it — how many tablets can you think of that have an Oreo-style camera island? It is especially placed on the midfield like this rather than in the corner. This matches the aesthetic of the OnePlus 11, it’s clear that it and the tablet belong together.

The specifications of the tablet are still under wraps, but we do know that it will have an 11.6-inch display. The slab will feature a uni-metal design, so it should be sturdy, though details on thickness and weight are still under wraps.

And if you look closely, there’s a front-facing camera on one of the long sides of the tablet that’s much better for video calls in landscape orientation (which is surprisingly rare among tablets).

OnePlus’ big event is two weeks from now and it will introduce the OnePlus 11 and Buds Pro 2 to the entire world. Also, the OnePlus keyboard and new Smart TV will make their debut. And the OnePlus Pad, of course.
