An American general warns of a possible war with China: “My intuition tells me that we will fight in 2025.”

A four-star US Air Force general said Washington expects a possible war with China in 2025 and told his commanders to prepare for battle by aiming “in the head”.

Gen. Mike Minihan, head of the Air Mobility Command, said the United States’ primary goal should be to deter “and, if necessary, defeat” China, in a shocking internal memo signed and confirmed to be true by the Pentagon.

The memo, which was circulating on social media, was first reported by NBC News and is dated February 1 of this year. It contains several indicators, including those labeled “end state” and “risk”, as well as goals for projects from February to April this year.

“I hope I’m wrong. My gut tells me we will fight in 2025,” Gen. Minihan said in the memo and gave his reasons for predicting a possible conflict.

He said that China is looking forward to the presidential elections in Taiwan next year because it will offer Xi Jinping a reason to escalate military aggression in the region, as the US presidential elections in the same year present the Chinese president with a “distracted America.”

“Xi’s team, mind, and opportunity are all in line with 2025,” he said.

Under the “end state” indicator, the general called for a “fortified, ready, integrated and agile combined force maneuver team” to “fight and win within the first island chain”.

It is not clear exactly which chain of islands General Minihan is referring to. The United States, its regional allies, and China have constantly sought to unite each other in the disputed South China Sea region.

The memo is for all Air Mobility Command (AMC) Air Wing Commanders and other Air Operations Commanders.

In February, he orders them to report to the general all major efforts to prepare for combat against China by the 28th of that month.

The General’s February target also instructs all AMC personnel to “fire a clip at a 7-meter target with the full understanding that unrepentant killing is most important. Aim for the President.”

NBC News reported that all employees were asked to update their records and emergency contacts.

For the month of March, the general is asking all AMC employees to “consider their personal affairs and whether they should schedule a visit with their law office at the service base to ensure they are legally ready and ready.”

Asking employees to account for some of the risks in training, the memo reads: “Run deliberately, not recklessly,” adding that “if you are comfortable in your approach to training, you are not taking enough risks.”

AMC has approximately 50,000 service members and approximately 500 aircraft. The air wing is responsible for transportation and refueling.

General Minihan also referred to the use of commercial drone swarms to peek at one American capability that would likely be considered in the event of conflict with China.

KC-135 units were asked to prepare for “delivery of 100 UAVs of unmanned size and quality from a single aircraft,” according to the memo.

The general also claimed, in his “commander’s intent,” that this was “the first of my 8 monthly directives” and added that it was “not about to negotiate.”

But the Defense Department wrote off the remarks, saying they did not reflect the ministry’s view of China.

This was also supported by its press secretary, Brigadier General Patrick Ryder, who said the National Defense Strategy “demonstrates that China presents a rapid challenge to the Department of Defense and our focus remains on working alongside allies and partners to preserve a peaceful, free and open Indo-Pacific.”

According to an AMC spokesperson who confirmed the development on Friday, the memo comes from his directives to affiliate driving teams.

“His order builds on the foundational effort that Air Mobility Command made last year to equip the Mobility Air Force for future conflict, should deterrence fail,” the spokesperson said, according to NBC.
