Advance Wars’ late Switch release may finally be reported

One of the games we hope will come to Switch sometime this year is Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Camp. The latest update for this title was featured in a Nintendo financial report last November – revealing that the game’s release date was still “TBA”.

Now, in the latest development, a thread on Famiboards has apparently highlighted changes made to the game’s eShop web page – with “Attaching New NSUID”. As explained in the same post, the new NSUID means “pre-orders will begin at some point in the future.”

In addition to this development, it appears that more online listings have now resurfaced for Advance Wars 1 + 2: Reboot Camp. This should include new and updated listings on Amazon Mexico, Canada, Walmart, Best Buy, and EB Games (thanks, My Nintendo News).

As you may recall, Advance Wars for Switch suffered multiple delays and then was pushed back (again) this past March due to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. Aside from a recent financial report referring to the title, a Nintendo representative reaffirmed last September that the 2-in-1 game had only been “delayed,” not revoked.

It’s pretty clear that the Switch version is up for grabs, too – as in April of last year a Switch fan got early access to the title by accident. Nintendo ended up canceling the purchase and offering a refund.

The same Famiboards post also mentions the new NSUID for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Given that this title has already been confirmed for May 12, 2023, it wouldn’t be entirely surprising if Nintendo opened up pre-orders for it in the near future.
