[ad_1]

The UAE National Center of Meteorology (NCM) detected a minor earthquake in Musandam. With a magnitude of 2.1 on the Richter scale, the National Seismological Network of NCM recorded the quake at 12.24pm (UAE time).

The center said that the earthquake did not have any impact on the UAE, and the residents did not feel its tremors.

An official had earlier told the Khaleej Times that the UAE periodically witnesses minor earthquakes or earthquake tremors in neighboring countries, but “they have no impact on the nation and there is no cause for concern.”

The official advised people not to panic whenever they feel earthquakes and to stay in safe places at home or outside.
