As part of James’ latest show, a one-hour special episode of Carpool Karaoke will air, and the celebrity star has yet to be revealed.

The success: The former boyband rose to global stardom in 2010 after appearing on The X Factor, before Zayn left the group five years later. Many fans began to speculate and even worked out the group’s schedules to check whether they would be performing the show logistically.

The only thing revealed about the eight-year James’ grand finale is that celebrities like Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, and Mila Kunis will be guests.

While in addition to One Direction, several other A-listers are destined to appear.

The former boy band shot to global stardom in 2010 after appearing on The X Factor, before Zayn left the group five years later.

The members continued as a group of four, and the other members of the band continued for another five months – before announcing their hiatus.

In December 2015, the band appeared alongside James Corden on one of the early episodes of Carpool Karaoke – doing the fourth segment after Zayn’s departure.

Now flaunting their highly successful careers, the stars have all gone on to release solo music.

The Gap: The group moved from fifth to fourth when Zayn left in 2015, and have gone on to release another album without their bandmate: The band has shown they still have a close relationship, publicly supporting Liam Lewis last month during the premiere of his movie.

But sources recently told OK! The magazine, which Liam was keen to get back with the band, shared: ‘Liam is desperate to get back on the road with the boys, his solo career hasn’t remained as successful as he’d hoped, and business has become stagnant for him.

He knows he’s somewhat fallen out of favor with the public, and believes the only way he’ll be able to win his fans back is through a One Direction reunion.

The band does indeed show signs of support for each other occasionally, with a photo of Harry wearing a One Direction t-shirt at the gym emerging recently.

While Liam recently supported Louis at the premiere of his movie, stating that the pair are still close.
