Love Island Sami Elishi and Tom Claire Split

Love Island couple Samie Elishi and Tom Clare have split just a month after the ITV show ended.

The couple, who finished third during the South African series, split up after wanting to “focus on their careers”.

Footballer Tom, 23, who lives in Barnsley, and estate agent Sammy, 22, who lives in Essex, disabled them because they couldn’t make the distance work.

A source told The Sun: ‘It’s heartbreaking that Sammy and Tom decided to call it a day. There’s a lot of love and respect out there but that just isn’t going anywhere.

“The distance between them was so great and they’re both really focused on their careers after Love Island.”

Fans feared the pair had split after not posting about each other on their social media accounts for two weeks.

Tom had said previously that he would happily move anywhere for Sammy to make it work, but there was “no rush” to do so.

Meanwhile, the couple had been traveling to each other’s homes to spend ‘a few days together’ and try to make their romance work.

Tom told The Sun earlier this month: ‘I’ve been there for a few days or I’ve come here. It wasn’t a one day thing, we make it work.

I think eventually we want to move in together but that takes time, it’s not something you rush.

I think if we could just move in together tomorrow, but just let it go. I’ll live wherever Sami wants to live – I don’t bother.

After appearing on the hit ITV dating show, Tom and Sami make their relationship official while on a romantic night out.

At the end of March, Sami took to Instagram to share the exciting news, writing, “This is my boyfriend y’all.”

The couple has documented a number of dates since then including heading to soccer together, romantic dinner dates and playing golf.

The pair managed to reach the final and place third, despite both arriving as bombshell contestants.

They lost to winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harinanan and placed behind runners-up Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins.
