Manchester United transfer news, live broadcast, news of the Tottenham and Man United team, and the latest

Manchester United will seek to consolidate their grip on one of the top four places when they travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to face Tottenham Hotspur this evening.

United, after booking their place in the FA Cup final at the weekend, are looking to boost their Champions League aspirations and claim a fourth successive Premier League victory. A win for Erik ten Hag’s side would put them nine points ahead of Tottenham, highlighting the importance of the three points.

United are currently fourth in the standings, five points behind fifth-placed Aston Villa, who have already played three more matches. The win would also lift the Reds into third place if Newcastle United fail to beat Everton this evening.

However, the Reds are sweating hard over Bruno Fernandes’ availability ahead of the trip to D.C. Ten Hag, speaking at his pre-match press conference yesterday, admitted there was a “question mark” surrounding the midfielder’s presence.

Meanwhile, reports in the national media have claimed that British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe is broaching a deal to buy United which would keep Joel and Avram Glazer involved with the club.

Today’s big talking point: How far should United have to push Tottenham to sign Harry Kane? Have your say here.

Mehmet Koudas “dreams” of moving to the English Premier League

Erik ten Hag is a huge fan of Ajax’s Mohamed Koudos and Fabrizio Romano claims his dream is to move to the Premier League this summer.

“It feels like an open situation for Mohamed Kodos, things could be happening with him this summer,” Romano told CaughtOffside.

“I’m not aware of anything concrete at this point with Man United or Arsenal. But he’s always dreamed of playing in the Premier League so it will be something to watch in the summer.”

Croatian Jutarnji comments on the future of the Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper and says that United is one of the parties interested in contracting with him.

Another Bruno Fernandes injury

Bruno Fernandes is doubtful about tonight’s trip to Tottenham.

Fernandes picked up a right ankle injury in the first half of the FA Cup semi-final with Brighton but played the full 90 minutes before withdrawing before extra time. Fernandez was photographed at home with his ankle in a brace and propped up on pillows, with crutches and a protective boot.

The Portuguese was spotted at Manchester United’s Carrington training complex walking without crutches and protective shoes but Erik ten Hag admits Fernandes is a “question mark”.

“There are some things that are not available – Martinez, Varane,” said Ten Hag. “We have to see how Bruno Fernandes is, we don’t know yet. It’s a question mark. But I think for the rest, we’re absolutely fine.

“Often it’s players, we protect them, prevention, but it has to settle down. We saw he played a full game and it happened in the first half. But tomorrow is fast, we’ll have to see what’s possible.”

Ten Hag referees two players outside the Tottenham match

Erik ten Hag says Alejandro Garnacho and Scott McTominay will miss tonight’s trip to Tottenham.

“Alejandro is not ready for the match,” he told MUTV. “Scott, we’ll have to wait a little longer, I’m afraid. But I’m sure they’re all excited to be back as soon as possible as we get to play a lot of ‘finals’ and huge matches and, in the end, we know what happens next.”

Tin Hag hints at transportation plans

Eric ten Hag says that United intends to strengthen the depth of the team in the summer transfer window, as well as to strengthen a number of key positions.

Ten Hag explained: “I think we need to strengthen the squad and more attitudes, as well as team depth. But don’t think about it at this moment. It’s not about that.

“So far, we’ve had a great season, so keep going, keep improving, keep going and the team is doing a good job and I think it’s fun to be part of this team. We have to keep going.”

“We’ve got good players, a great squad and a great year, but it will only be a success if we keep going.”

United’s big week

Tonight’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur is the first of three huge Premier League assignments for United in just eight days.

After traveling to the capital this evening, United will face Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday before traveling to the Amex Stadium to face Brighton & Hove Albion next Thursday.

If Erik Ten Hag’s men can muster a good bunch of points, they should all achieve a fourth-place finish.
