A furious Tottenham caretaker manager, Ryan Mason, insists Diogo Jota should not have been on the pitch to score the dramatic late winner for Liverpool.

Substitute Jota netted in the fourth minute of stoppage time as the Reds sealed a 4-3 Premier League victory at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, just seconds after Richarlison brought Tottenham back from 3-0 down.

The extra period was required after Oliver Skip required lengthy treatment for a cut on his head before being substituted off after being caught by Jota who was punished with only a yellow card by referee Paul Tierney.
