Robert De Niro announced this week that he recently welcomed a baby boy.
A reporter from ET Canada asked the Godfather actor what it feels like to be a father of six.
That’s when he said he had not six, but seven kids, and then shared that he recently welcomed a new baby into his life. He did not give the child’s name or gender.
He said, “I have a baby.”
The 79-year-old Oscar-winning actor has not disclosed the identity of the mother of his child, but he was last linked to martial arts instructor Tiffany Chen. They are pictured holding hands in July 2022.
His representative confirmed to DailyMail.com that De Niro did nothing wrong and that he does indeed have seven children.

The interview took place this week when he was promoting his new movie about my father.
On March 22, Tiffany was seen with a baby bump when she left Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California with Robert. They just enjoyed an Italian dinner with Harvey Keitel and Billy Crystal.
ET Canada asked Robert about being a father and he shared that he believes in ‘love’ [his] kids,” but said you have to “be tough about things.”
He continued, “I mean, there’s no way he could get around it with the kids.” I don’t like having to enforce the law and things like that. but, [sometimes] You have no other choice.
And I think any parent would say the same. You always want the kids to do the right thing and give them the benefit of the doubt but sometimes you just can’t.
Then the interviewer said, “I know you have six children,” and Robert added, “Seven, actually.”
Then he dropped his bombshell: “I just had a baby.”
He separated from his wife of 20 years, Grace Hightower, in 2018.

Robert has two children: Drina, 51, and Raphael, 46, with ex-wife Diana Abbott.
He has two other children with Grace: Elliot, 25, and Helen, 11.
He is a father to twins Aaron and Julianne, 27, with his ex-girlfriend, Tuckie Smith.
His divorce from Hightower was highly controversial.
The former spouses have been locked in a fight since December 2018.
In April, a judge ruled that his ex-wife, 66, should receive $1 million annually and that the couple would split the proceeds after selling their $20 million home.
Robert and Grace married in 1997, separated in 1999, then got back together, renewing their vows in 2004 before he filed for divorce in 2018.
At first the couple fought over custody of their child but now the argument is about money and property.
Hightower averaged $215,000 a month in credit cards and $160,000 in cash. De Niro’s attorney, Carolyn Krause, claims the financial pressures mean the actor is running out of money.

She said the coronavirus pandemic had dried up the Hollywood star’s work projects.
Months earlier, De Niro was paid $5 million for starring in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman. He also received “tens of millions of dollars” through a federal coronavirus relief program.
Hightower claims De Niro is worth $500 million, but his attorney, Caroline Krause, says his estranged wife’s lifestyle is making matters worse.
