1683742012 Google I/O 2023: Is hot dog a sandwich?
Two people argue, “yes,” “no,” “yes,” “no,” before turning to artificial intelligence to figure out the answer to whether or not a hot dog is a sandwich.
Whatever Google’s newly enabled generative AI search engine is, it’s certainly not as good as the answer from Sundar Pichai, who’s back on stage to give his thoughts.
“I think it’s like a taco because the bread is all about it,” he says.

Aparna Pappu is now on stage to tell us about AI and the workspace — which includes Google Drive, Gmail, and Calendar.

These include the Help Me Write feature in Gmail and Docs, which has been used to write articles, sales pitches and product plans since it first launched to testers in March.
Lots of new tools have been added since then, like a new organizational feature in Sheets that uses artificial intelligence to create spreadsheets with a single text prompt.

Now let’s move on to Google’s latest Large Volume Language Model (LLM) PaLM 2. It appears to be the first language model ever to be implemented at an ‘expert level’ in the medical licensing exams.

“All of this helps pave the way for the inflection point we are at today.”
