An earthquake that struck south of British Columbia’s capital may have been felt overnight by some residents of Greater Victoria.
A 3.1-magnitude earthquake rattled around 12:21 a.m. Tuesday near Oak Harbor, Washington, about 62 kilometers south of Victoria, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The US Geological Survey said the quake was detected at a depth of 63.2 kilometres.
As of early Tuesday morning, about 18 people had reported feeling the quake to the USGS.
