Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has been linked with a summer exit, with his contract expiring in 2024.
Liverpool is among those linked with the England international, and Blues coach Frank Lampard shared the latest news ahead of his team’s match against Manchester United.
“I think with Mason particularly as an individual, I don’t know what the solution is because it’s about the club and Mason,” Lampard told Sky Sports.
“I don’t know exactly where Mason is personally, he has a year left on his contract. I know he’s well respected at the club and I know the club is trying to do what they can to make him stay, but I also think Mason, I would never want to stand here in the modern era and talk.” What the player should do because they will see everything with their own eyes.
“I think in the old days that would be the reason you left the club? In modern times you have to move on, and we got into this situation that is happening now.”
