ITV’s managing director of media and entertainment refused to answer questions on Monday about Schofield after he was pursued down the street by a GB News producer.

In a segment broadcast on Monday, producer Ben Leo tracked down ITV’s Kevin Ligo and asked him if there had been a “cover-up” of Scofield’s affair with a young colleague at the station.

He also asked Mr. Lego if he was “protecting” Scofield.

Mr. Lego walked away from the producer, saying, “We don’t have much more to say.”

In an earlier statement, a spokesperson for the broadcaster said: “ITV can confirm this when rumors of an affair between Philip Schofield and an ITV employee first began circulating in early 2020.

Both parties were questioned and both parties categorically and repeatedly denied the rumors as did Phillip’s then agency YMU.

In addition, ITV spoke to a number of people who worked on This Morning and were not provided, and found, no evidence of a relationship beyond rumor and hearsay.
