(BIVN) — A rainy Sunday produced a lot of steam at the summit caldera of Kīlauea, which can be seen on the GS webcam in the US, which is monitored in part by clouds and rain.
Kīlauea has not erupted, though scientists say the volcano continues to show signs of increasing unrest.
Inflationary tendency and high seismicity continue to peak, with daily prices changing somewhat. More than 120 earthquakes were recorded in the summit area on Saturday. Over the past several months, both deformation and seismicity have been raised beyond the rates observed prior to the January 5th summit eruption.
This story will be updated with the latest USGS HVO update when it is posted.
