Obviously, the fighter is still perfectly playable over Wi-Fi, but as spotted on Twitter, there’s now a small icon that distinguishes wired connections from wireless ones. While we like to assume that only those playing at the higher levels of competitive play will be concerned with this, we can probably expect some swearing and beef as a result of this notice.

Hopefully this isn’t the case, though, as people use this as a useful tool to determine whether or not they’re going to get the best quality match. Personally, we think adding information like this is generally positive, but as is always the case in life, it’s the people who use it who manage to turn it into negative information. Let’s hope Street Fighter 6 attracts a positive and friendly community – not a toxic one!
