Sevilla aims to achieve a record-breaking seventh European League title when they face Roma in the final of the 2022/23 competition in Budapest tonight.

The Spanish side have struggled domestically this year and have spent most of their La Liga campaign fending off relegation, but they have produced exceptional performances in Europe. Jose Luis Mendilibar is their third coach of the season, but he has scored victories over big teams like Juventus and Manchester United on his way to this evening’s final.

Seville will meet the Roma team, which is looking to win consecutive European titles after winning the European League title last season. Jose Mourinho’s side won the inaugural European Championship for the third time last year and are now one victory away from qualifying for the Champions League. Victory in tonight’s final would also see Mourinho become the first coach to win the Europa League with three different clubs, following previous victories with Porto and Manchester United.
