The PRO-13 joins the seismic drills in the second quarter at the PH level

CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, BUTAUAN CITY – Police Regional Office-13 participated in the second quarter of the 2023 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake drill at this camp on Thursday, June 8.

RSUs also participated in the activity to ensure the safety and readiness of PNP personnel in the event of a real earthquake.

The alarm indicated that the earthquake drills would begin at 9 am, with the police personnel showing the correct method of conducting the landing, cover and hold position.

After the alarm went off, the participants were evacuated from the offices and gathered on the parade ground where the staff enumeration took place.

The large-scale exercises included ground maintenance safety and inspection, search and rescue, emergency medical and first aid, firefighting, evacuation, security, reserve and communications.

“I thank everyone who participated in this meaningful activity,” PRO-13 Police Director Brig. Gen. Pablo J. Labra II said.

“Preparedness is critical because it enables our personnel to respond quickly and effectively during a real earthquake, which can save lives and reduce injuries,” said Labra.

A government initiative, the earthquake maneuvers aim to encourage disaster preparedness and resilience among Filipinos.
