“In the aftermath of the twin earthquakes that occurred in southern Turkey in February 2023, the United Nations World Food Programme, Türk Kızıli (TRC) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies worked on the methodology and analysis of the Minimum Expenditure Basket (MEB) to contribute to emergency response programs on identifying Basic needs.In short, it was found that after the February-March updates, the cost of a family of 5 increased to 7889 TL, which represents an increase of 3% in the Middle East and North Africa.
