According to the National Center of Seismology, the epicenter of the quake was in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir at a depth of 6 km.
People felt the earthquake at 01:33 PM.
Reports stated that many buildings including a few government schools were upgraded in the aftermath of the earthquake.
