Manchester United are set to offer Marcus Rashford a £375,000-a-week contract – replacing David De Gea as the club’s highest earner.
Rashford, 25, has completed the best season of his career so far, scoring 30 goals for United.
The impressive form of the England international helped Erik ten Hag’s team finish third in the Premier League, win the Carabao Cup and reach the FA Cup Final.
United are keen to tie Rashford, who found the net just five times during the 2021-22 season, to a new long-term contract after being revived under Ten Hag.
Born and raised in Manchester, the striker first joined his boyhood club in 2005.
Meanwhile, De Gea’s contract expired this summer and he remains stuck in contract talks with United.
The 32-year-old goalkeeper currently earns £375,000-a-week – the amount Rashford has been offered – but would need to take a significant pay cut to stay at Old Trafford.
