A double murder investigation has been launched after a 15-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man were killed in Archway on Thursday night.
Police were called at 11:30pm to Elthorne Road, N19 to report a stabbing.
A boy, believed to be 15, was found with stab wounds and pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight. A man, 23, was taken to West London Hospital with stab wounds where he was also pronounced dead. A third victim, believed to be 28, was found at an address in N19 with stab wounds. He remains in hospital but his condition is not believed to be life threatening.
Local MP Jeremy Corbyn said he was “shocked” and “horrified” when he visited the scene on Friday morning.
“We have to deal with the issue of knife crime and violence in our society,” he said.

“We have to have a police force that is willing to help people but we also need this society with where people simply say to anyone, ‘Carrying a knife is not going to defend you, it’s not going to protect you, it’s not going to make your life better, it’s just going to make your life more dangerous and you’re more vulnerable'” .
Police believe that a large number of people were present at the time of the attack and are urging witnesses and those with information to make a statement. Specialized Crime Command has launched an investigation. There is an extensive crime scene and urgent investigations are ongoing. The officers notified the relatives of the two victims, who are supported by specially trained officers.

An order under Section 60 gave the police additional powers of stop and search. “My thoughts are with the families of the two victims who suffered unimaginable loss in this shocking and unacceptable incident,” said Chief Superintendent Andy Carter. We will support our colleagues during the investigation and members of the public will see an increased police presence in the area. “I urge anyone with information that can help us determine exactly what happened to approach or contact us immediately. A man and a boy lost their lives and we must now work together to identify those responsible and get them off our streets.” Anyone with information that can help should help.
