Magnitude 5.3 earthquake hits Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Andaman and Nicobar [India], July 9 (ANI): A 5.3-magnitude earthquake rocked southeast of Campbell Bay in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Sunday, the National Seismological Center (NCS) reported. The earthquake hit Campbell at 7:39 pm on Sunday. According to the NCS, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 70 kilometers. The National Earthquake Center (NCS) tweeted on Sunday, “Magnitude 5.3 earthquake: occurred on 09-07-2023, 19:39:09 IST, Lat: 5.87, Longitude: 94.83, Depth: 70km, Location: 162km SE Bay Campbell, Andaman and Nicobar Island, India.” There have been no reports of any human or material losses yet.
