The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that an earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale occurred off the Pacific coast of El Salvador at a depth of about 70 km on Tuesday evening, July 18.
El Salvador’s environment ministry said no damage was immediately reported and that the quake did not trigger a tsunami warning.
