Bell, Calif. (KABC) — A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck southeastern parts of Los Angeles County Tuesday night.
The US Geological Survey said the quake, which occurred at 9:37 p.m., had its epicenter near the city of Peel.
The agency recorded a second similar earthquake a few minutes later in the same area.
Southern California residents were writing on social media feeling strong tremors and shaking. A USGS map indicates shaking is felt as far north as the San Fernando Valley and south into Orange County.
No damage was reported initially.
