A Just Stop Oil fan was attacked by England’s wicket-keeper Jonny Bairstow when splattered at Lord’s during an Ashes Test match by a motorist during a slow rally in South Kensington.

Daniel Knorr, a 21-year-old student from Oxford, was walking down Cromwell Road when a man in a red baseball cap confronted him and punched him in his direction. Then the student was pushed to the ground.

Video captured from the scene shows a man leaving a silver Mercedes to demonstrate with Mr Knorr after activists blocked traffic on Wednesday.

Footage shows motorists swinging a punch at Mr. Knorr who films the slow march on his phone before forcing him to the ground and knocking the phone out of his grasp.

According to reports, a woman leaving the car yelled, “Now stop, I’m pregnant,” before the man shouted, “Now stop, stop recording, little guy…”, before the attack took place.

The Metropolitan Police said they were aware of the incident when contacted by The Telegraph.

Speaking after the assault, Mr Knorr told MailOnline: “I haven’t said anything to the police nor plan to, but I’m afraid the police will come after this man.

“I have no ill feelings or ill will towards him. It is a difficult situation for anyone to be in and it is bound to cause frustration.”

Just Stop Oil said: “Daniel was assaulted while walking this morning, and has remained non-violent the entire time. Disruption is difficult, but necessary.”
