A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Ngoba in Mizoram

An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale struck 61 km east of Ngoba in Mizoram in the early hours of the morning, the National Center for Seismology said.

As reported by ANI, the earthquake occurred at around 1.08 am. According to the NCS, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 80 kilometers.

“Magnitude 3.6 earthquake occurred on 20-07-2023, 01:08:36 IST, Latitude: 23.93, Longitude: 93.81, Depth: 80km Seismology on Twitter.

So far, there have been no reports of injuries or damages as a result of the earthquake.

On an earlier occasion, on Monday, a 3.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Katra district in Jammu and Kashmir, according to the National Center of Seismology (NCS). The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 5 km.
