Police have identified the man who opened fire inside a Florida Publix supermarket Thursday morning, killing a grandmother and her young child.
CBS Miami reported that Timothy J. Wall, 55, was named the suspect in a horrific shooting incident at a Royal Palm Beach grocery store inside the Crossroads complex.
Wall, in Royal Palm Beach, died of his gunshot wounds during the chaos, according to WPLG.
The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office said late Thursday that there was no known motive or relationship between the shooter and the victims.
The agency said it would not name the woman or the child, who would have turned two years old this month, since the family invoked a Florida law allowing crime victims and their families to withhold their names from public reports.
On Thursday afternoon, investigators spoke to witnesses and reviewed surveillance footage as they tried to piece together what led to the attack.

One shopper described the terrifying moment the gunman was shot, recalling how he heard gunshots and staff screaming near the produce aisle.
I heard, ‘They’re shooting! A woman working at Publix said, “Run! shoot! ” Juan Guardia told the Palm Beach Post.
“I was scared. It is sad because everything happened so quickly. Everyone was running. Some of the employees were crying.”
Agent Ron Glassman said he had just been parked in the plaza and was heading to another store when about 50 Publix customers ran out, screaming,
“There is a shooter, there is a shooter! Don’t go there!”
