Kobe Daniel, the 6-year-old boy in Michigan who was shot outside a neighbor’s house while riding his bike, is mentally struggling to recover, and will absolutely need professional help…according to his father.
Arnold told Daniel TMZ… that his son was showing visible signs of mental scarring, and had been unable to sleep alone in his bed – something he had been doing since he was two years old.
Kobe tries to sleep in his bed, but Arnold says he always ends up right next to him…and sometimes he asks unsettling questions like, “Why? [the alleged shooter] do it?”
As we have reported, the neighbor, Ryan Lee Nguyen, allegedly shot Kobe in the arm after he chased him with a sledgehammer. Kobe put on a brave face describing the incident to a FOX 2 Detroit reporter – but Arnold says his son is completely confused as to why anyone would want to hurt him.

He says he made an appointment for Kobe to see a therapist next week to help him understand everything.
Physical therapy looms large, too, but only after Kobe’s gunshot wound has completely healed.
Arnold says he’s taking time off work to take care of Kobe, and deal with his anxiety. He says it calmed down a bit once Le-Nguyen’s guarantee was voided, and the police brought him back into custody.
As we have reported, there was fierce protest against Le-Nguyen’s initial issuance of a $10,000 cash bond. His bail has since been raised to $100,000.
