Eric Remedy voted for the San Jose Earthquakes Player of the Month for May

Voted, and the San Jose Earthquakes Center Player of the Month for May 2021 is midfielder Eric Remedy.

The Argentine was a regular fixture in San Jose’s squad in May, starting all six games and going to a full 90 in each.

Remedy arrived on a deal from Atlanta United in the off-season with some questions about his suitability. While he was part of a team that won three titles in a short time with Atlanta, he was off duty there, and San Jose previously played the closed midfield duo of Jackson Yoel and Judson, it wasn’t clear if he was. He will have a role in the first weeks as a start.

With Judson absent pre-season in order to get his green card, Remedy stepped up and, to this point, pushed the Brazilian out of the starting line-up. Not only was Remedy a strong defensive midfielder, but he also served as a ball forward, something he didn’t really show with Atlanta United.

So, amid May’s ups and downs to face the earthquakes, Remedy is perhaps the San Jose’s most consistent player, so his pick is a good pick. Thank you for voting if you did, and congratulations to Eric on being Player of the Month.
