“The Big Saturday Show” hosts criticized Vice President Kamala Harris Saturday for her mixed messages on immigration after Thursday’s interview with Univision reporter Elia Calderon in which the vice president said she has always been an “advocate” for illegal immigrants.
“As Elijah knows, I’ve worked on this issue almost my entire career and have always been an advocate for immigrants – documented and undocumented,” Harris said.
Harris’ latest comment contrasts with comments she made recently in Guatemala where she issued a warning to potential Central and South American immigrants wishing to come to the United States, telling them to “don’t come.”
“I want to stress that the goal of our work is to help Guatemalans find hope in their homeland, and at the same time I want to be clear to people in this region who are considering making the dangerous journey to the US-Mexico border – don’t come don’t come “.
Kamala Harris’ mixed messages at the border: From ’empress’ for immigrants to ‘don’t come’
Her warning was met with criticism from many left-wing Democrats and noted a change in the tone of comments made by Harris as both a presidential candidate and senator.
Shaun Duffy, a Fox News correspondent, said Saturday that Harris is unable to handle or deal with Borders because of that criticism.
He noted that she will run for president, probably in four years, maybe in eight years, which is a big issue for the left wing of the Democratic Party. “She wants them to love it. If you address the limits, you will have a hard time winning the primaries.”
“That’s how you do that, ignoring borders at the expense of the American people,” he added.
Fox Nation’s Abby Hornacek added that Americans weren’t the only ones to notice Harris’ mixed messages.
She noted that “the President of Guatemala said so.” “He said the messages are confusing to everyone.”
Duffy added that President Biden and Harris do not want to solve the problem at the border.
“Let’s be clear, it’s really easy to fix this, fix it at the border. They don’t want to fix it,” he said.
In addition to her mixed messages, Harris has also failed to answer when she will travel to the US-Mexico border in a series of recent interviews.
In a separate segment of the interview with Calderon, the Harris and Univision reporter’s exchange became heated when the vice president was pressured when she was visiting the border.
This isn’t the only time Harris has been pressed lately when she was going to visit.
Earlier this week, Harris had an awkward exchange with NBC’s Lester Holt, who similarly challenged her not to visit the border.

Alicia Acuna, chief Fox News correspondent, said Saturday that Harris’ lack of answers about when she might visit was “puzzling,” given that the same question is still being asked of the vice president and will likely continue to be asked.
“This is a fight you’re still losing and it won’t go away,” Akuna added.
