We’re still doing away with all of Apple’s announcements at WWDC 2021 earlier this week. Specifically, why is macOS supported on some devices and not others? It’s not an Intel chip versus an Apple chip — although some features are only supported on the M1 natively — but the company’s logic of retiring older hardware when it can’t provide the same experience is ringing a bit this time.

Dan Cooper explains that there are devices on both sides of the divide with similar specs: a late 2014 Mac Mini can power it, but a 2014 MacBook Air can’t. They both have the same chip, RAM and GPU. Apple suffers here because it does an excellent job of providing support across its iPhones. The upcoming iOS 15 will run on the iPhone 6S from 2015 – Android rarely comes close to software support and updates. With (mostly) more expensive PCs and laptops, there’s an argument because Apple offers longer update windows, if the hardware can handle it.

The next Battlefield title is a massive sandbox title in the near future called Battlefield 2042. The developers obviously hope that this game will help players forget all about Battlefield V.

The Tesla event was also an opportunity to show off the redesigned elements that come to every new Model S and Model Y. This includes the PS5-caliber infotainment system, which can run Cyberpunk 2077 at 60fps, significantly improved rear seats, and a steering yoke The transmission is not present. Five years into the party, Overwatch is finally introducing cross-play. Yes, you can be defeated by your PC gaming buddies while playing on Switch. I’m (half) joking, but this will ensure that any Overwatch player can ally with their friends, regardless of platform.
There is a caveat: to use this feature, you will need to create a Battle.net account if you don’t already have one and link it to your Xbox, PSN, or Nintendo account. This is something Blizzard will now require Overwatch players to do whether or not they plan to take advantage of cross-play support. Unfortunately, any group content (costumes, emotes, etc.) you earn on one platform will not be transferred to another platform.
And regarding my point about getting squashed by mouse users: Blizzard says that by default, only console players will be matched against other console players. If you want to play with/against people on PC, you will need to purposely rally with other players on PC. Read on.

Although the name of the 1970s car was hijacked by most people under the age of 40 already, the Maverick was aimed at people who wanted something more efficient but without the high price tag and needed a place to deliver.
