Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham expanded their family by two.
The couple, who fell in love with the ABC dating show in 2018, announced the news that Lauren gave birth to the pair’s twins on Saturday, June 12.
“luyendyktwins here!” Arie shared his story on Instagram. “Mom and the kids are doing well and everything went smoothly. Spend time cherishing these moments, thank you all for the support.”
Ari and Lauren are also parents to 2-year-old daughter Alice, whom they welcomed in May 2019. Last December, the duo, who said “I do” in Hawaii three years ago, said they were expecting not one, but two babies.
A month later, they revealed that they were expecting a boy and a girl.
“I’m so relieved that there’s at least one boy there,” Ari joked in a YouTube video after Lauren suggested it would be fewer if she was carrying two girls. “Oh my God, that’s so cool.”
Ari Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham: Rewind the Romance
The news of Ari and Lauren’s baby comes less than a year after they announced that Lauren had miscarried with their second child. In an emotional Instagram post, Lauren wrote about what it was like to be pregnant again.

“This time it was different to say the least,” the 29-year-old reality TV personality said. “The darkness that surrounds loss is something that cannot easily be forgotten. Months of mourning, months of hope, even now, moments of anxiety. Even in the midst of something as beautiful as new life, this darkness finds its way to remind that it has already existed. It has disfigured the blissful ignorance that I lived happily in First time “.
She continued, “With all that said, I’m proud of this body and what we endured together. I’m proud of my second and third children for growing up so well and grateful for all the reminders they sent me saying, ‘Mom, we’re fine.’ I’m proud of my journey through the darkness, because without it, it wouldn’t light up.” The light I see now is too bright.”
To celebrate Mother’s Day on May 9, Lauren shared a sweet photo of her and Alessi on Instagram along with the caption, “Blesseds today and every day to be Mama to these babies. For those of you who are having a hard time today, I’m thinking of you and sending a lot of love.”
