Report just over 71,500 vaccines from reaching 70%
PORTLAND, Oregon (KTVZ) – There are no new COVID-19-related deaths in Oregon, and the state death toll remains at 2,730, the Oregon Health Authority said Monday.
OHA also reported 127 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 am today bringing the total number of cases to 205,154.
CDC data tracker issue update
OHA relied on updated US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data to report how many people would need to receive a COVID-19 vaccine to reach Oregon’s goal of vaccinating 70% of people 18 years of age or older.
Unfortunately, the CDC is having a problem with the data feed that contributes to the COVID data tracker dashboard, which Oregon uses to track case progress toward 70%.
The CDC is working to fix the problem and expects to fix it by Tuesday. The COVID Data Tracker is the only place where doses from all sources administered are reported to Oregon residents, including doses administered by federal entities, as well as doses administered to people living in Oregon by providers in other states. .
Vaccinations in Oregon
OHA reported Monday that 11,430 new doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been added to the government’s immunization registry. Of this total, 7,793 doses were administered on Sunday and 3,637 doses on previous days but were entered in the vaccination registry on Sunday.
The running average for seven days is now 16,766 doses per day.
Oregon has now administered 2,382,590 first and second doses of Pfizer, 1,674,408 first and second doses of Moderna and 156,692 single doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.
As of Monday, 2,323,460 people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 2,038,610 of the COVID-19 vaccine series have completed. The number of Oregon adults who need vaccinations to reach the 70% threshold is 71,522. The daily countdown can be found on the OHA Vaccines page.
Cumulative daily totals can take several days to complete because providers have 72 hours to report doses taken, and technical challenges have caused many providers to delay in their reporting. OHA provides technical support to vaccination sites to improve the timeliness of data entry into the state’s ALERT Immunization Information System (IIS).
To date, 2,881,575 doses of Pfizer, 2,195,420 doses of Moderna, and 299,000 doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines have been delivered to locations across Oregon.
This data is preliminary and subject to change
OHA dashboards provide regularly updated vaccination data, and the Oregon dashboard was updated Monday.
hospital admission for COVID-19
