This is not the “experience” that New Yorkers want.
The operator of the COVID pop-up vaccination site in the former “NFL Experience” building in Times Square sent an emergency notice informing 899 patients that it had mistakenly injected them with expired Pfizer doses.
Patients were told by ATC Healthcare Services that they needed to get another dose because the company “cannot guarantee the effectiveness” of the doses they received.
“We are contacting you regarding the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine you received at Times Square – the NFL Experience vaccination site from June 5 to June 10, 2021. The vaccine was identified after the vaccine was administered as it was in the freezer afterwards,” David Savitsky said at Email to patients “Approved time frame before administering”.
A father of two teenage daughters who were given the wrong shots last week were dumped after receiving an email and phone call from ATC Healthcare about the promiscuity.

“The guy who called wasn’t even a doctor,” said the father.
The source, who asked not to be identified, wondered how many other patients had been given faulty doses.
The father said, “It’s 6 days!!!! No one noticed?!?!?”
Savitsky said in his email that the CTC called the city’s health department and the New York City Vaccine Command Center and claimed that “there shouldn’t be negative health consequences from the vaccine already received.”
But Savitsky added: “Since we cannot guarantee the effectiveness of the vaccine dose you received, we recommend that it be repeated in order to ensure protection. Such a dose of vaccine administered in error will not count toward the completed vaccine series.”
He said the “repeated dose” could be received immediately “in the opposite arm” that got the faulty shot.

Patients are required to have two doses of Pfizer or Moderna to be fully protected from the coronavirus. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine requires a single dose.
ATC Healthcare’s Savitsky told patients that they can be revaccinated anywhere that offers the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, including pharmacies or other medical providers.
“This notice may be sent to your provider to confirm why you need to receive an additional dose of the vaccine,” said Savitsky of ATC Health Services.
“We apologize for any inconvenience or concern this may cause you.”
The ATC Healthcare’s Times Square vaccination site was still taking appointments via the city health department’s website as well as visits.
Time Square’s Musharraf declined to comment when a Post reporter appeared and asked about the faulty potions.
After hearing the goof, city officials immediately replaced ATC Healthcare as the Times Square vaccine operator with a new provider, according to Mayor Bill de Blasio’s office.

A City Hall official said 899 patients need to be revaccinated but no other appointments at the Times Square location need to be cancelled.
