President Biden was casting a shadow over Vladimir Putin behind closed doors on Wednesday.
A White House official said the president gifted his Russian counterpart a pair of aviator sunglasses during a one-day summit in Geneva.
Biden, who is known to be a huge fan of fashion accessories, gave the Russian leader a pair as a symbolic gift.
The blinds were made by the Massachusetts-based Randolph USA, which supplied them to the US military and its NATO partners.

Biden also gave Putin a crystal statue of an American bison designed by Steuben Glass of New York, on a carved cherry wood plinth.
World leaders exchange gifts with each other during summits as a sign of cooperation – but there is no word from the Kremlin on what gifts Putin may have given Biden.
Biden’s love for pilots is well documented, and it was heated up for leaving its shadows when he recently met Queen Elizabeth of England, in violation of accepted royal protocol.
Biden has always loved wearing aviators.
