Google has released new photos and videos for its first-ever physical retail store, set to open its doors this week in the Chelsea neighborhood of downtown New York.

First announced last month, the new space will offer a range of products made by Google and will also provide shoppers with an immersive experience showcasing how the company’s products and services work seamlessly together. Experts will be on deck to help customers with questions about hardware and software, and users will be able to shop the tech company’s range on its website and pick up their orders in-store.

Google said it chose Chelsea as the location for its main retail location because it views the store as “a natural extension of our long-standing commitment to the city.” The space aims to be part of Google’s urban campus in Chelsea, where the company employs more than 11,000 New York City residents.

On Wednesday, Google dropped some additional information and photos that show the store in action ahead of the official opening on June 17.

Google’s Ivy Ross and Nathan Allen said in a press release that the space was intended to undermine the idea that modern technology is a cold medium:

“We wanted our first store to reflect the same approach we take in designing our products: making sure they’re always useful to people. The result is a space we think is warm and inviting, while providing new ways to celebrate and experience Google through our phones, displays, speakers, wearables, and more” .

Sustainability is also at the forefront of space design, reflecting the brand’s commitment to incorporating sustainable materials into its products. Wall veneer is responsibly sourced walnut and the light bulbs in the space are energy efficient.

At the main entrance stands a 17-foot-high circular glass structure dubbed the Google Imagination Space, where customers can interact with dedicated screens and take advantage of Google Translate services. “While speaking to the exhibit, you’ll experience simultaneous translation of your speech into 24 languages at a time, and then learn how it all happens in the back end using several Google technologies,” Ross and Allen explain. The store also intentionally invites hands-on interaction and features comfortable sofas in a living room-like environment dotted with Google products.
