The Utah Jazz are fighting for their lives against the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 6

It’s Game 6 and the Utah Jazz face the elimination against the Los Angeles Clippers. Both teams deal with injuries. Jazz without Mike Conley was the whole series and Donovan Mitchell was playing with a bad ankle. The Clippers play without Kawhi Leonard and Serge Ibaka.

Despite Kowhi Leonard’s injury, the Clippers looked like the tallest and sportiest team in Game 5. Even with their amazing first-half shooting, the Jazz couldn’t get enough stopping points to slow the Clippers who had big nights from Marcus Morris and another Reggie Jackson Three games.

There is also not a lot of good news for jazz. It has not yet been confirmed which player is playing, but both Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley have been listed as suspect for that player.

Mike Conley questionable for tomorrow’s game (mild strain in right hamstring).

Donovan Mitchell is also suspected (right ankle ache).

There was some news this morning from Adrian Wojnarowski about injuries.

As for the jazz in Game 6 tonight in Los Angeles: Donovan Mitchell (ankle) advances to be game-time decision, and Mike Conley, Jr., (hamstring) is working his way back into the lineup, sources report to ESPN. The Jazz Trail Clippers, 3-2, in the Western Conference Semifinals Series.

Take that for what it’s worth at Conley, but Donovan Mitchell did his usual “Let’s Go!” Tweet before this. One has to assume that if he could leave, Mitchell would. Mitchell has been playing through pain in most sitcoms. He was a warrior. If he ends up not playing, you can’t say he didn’t give it his all.

Can the jazz defend?

Rudy Gobert stated after Game Five that he felt the Jazz didn’t come out with urgency to defend. It’s hard to disagree. As in the first half the jazz shot, especially from Bojan Bogdanovic, they didn’t have much of a lead in the first half. In the second half, when the jazz hit just three seconds apart, the Clippers took the lead with relative ease until the jazz ramped up its intensity in the fourth quarter.

Can the Jazz defend four quarters of this match? Or will they only achieve intensity at the end of the match?

Will Quinn Snyder play Rudy Gobert again?

For the first time in the series, Joubert finally played big minutes. In Game 5, Gobert played 41 minutes, which should have been the norm in the entire series. Will Goubert ever get those minutes again? Derek Vevers has been horrible in the series, and will likely deal with his injuries. Snyder also plays George Niang who has as many points (5) as he does as many turns (5) in the series.

Sometimes, some players don’t work against certain teams. George Niang can be a very useful player with his shot against many teams. Against Clippers who are full of so many athletes, he really struggled. Will we see the coach try different players who can offer something other than shooting?

It’s all on the line and it’s time to find out what jazz is left.
