The “Suns in 4” fan is still making waves across the virtual world.
A Phoenix fan, Nick McKellar is seen getting into a fight with two Denver Nuggets fans during Game 3 before shouting “Suns in 4!” It is a prophecy that came true.
The video turned national media attention, memes and most recently: an action figure debuted on Friday.
Suns guard Devin Booker commented on the outpouring of interest surrounding the brawl while in the media on Saturday afternoon.
“I watched the entire video,” Booker said via Zoom.
Bids for the business number started at 99 cents on Friday. As of Saturday afternoon, the bid was $4,200.
Describing the look on eBay, the creator of the Hands of Doom toy store said that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity. Bids close on Wednesday and there is no indication how high they will be.
After the fight went viral, Booker contacted McKellar and sent him a signed T-shirt as well as tickets to the Western Conference Finals.
The shooting guard delved deeper into his exchange with the fervent fan while in the media on Saturday.
“He is very excited about this team. … If you watched the whole video, you might think he is a very useful guy with no wrong intentions but he was forced into this situation,” Booker said.
McKellar will be in the crowd on Sunday for Game 1 against the Los Angeles Clippers, with Booker saying, “We’re looking forward to it.”
