Conan O’Brien smokes with Seth Rogen and Andy Richter – watch – Deadline

On Tuesday’s episode of Conan, Conan O’Brien sought some life advice from actor and producer Seth Rogen.

The late-night host remarked: “You look like a relaxed, laid-back guy, like you know who you are.” “I’m going to have a lot of free time on my hands now for a while. We’ll start something else, but I’m going to have some time, and frankly – I’m not kidding – I don’t really know what to do with the downtime.”

“Yes, I got that feeling from you,” said Rogen, who quickly came to a recommendation, as to how O’Brien might fill his days.

“I would suggest — that would be funny on the brand — try smoking a lot of cannabis for a long time,” he continued.

O’Brien told Rogen that while he considers marijuana a “wonderful weed,” and makes no judgment on who smokes it, he himself doesn’t usually engage in it.

“I’m enjoying my honesty,” he said sarcastically.

“I’ve never thought of a sentence even in my life,” Rogen replied with a laugh.

O’Brien then shared that on the few occasions he tried to smoke pot, “nothing really happened.” The host wondered, however, what Rogen would make him smoke, especially considering he owns the weed company, Houseplant.

Next, Rogen proceeded to pull the joint.

“I swear to God, that’s how lame I am,” O’Brien said. “For a second I thought, bring a birthday candle?”

Rogen advised O’Brien to start slowly, with a single blow to the joint – which he took, before handing it back to Rogen and co-host Andy Richter.

“It’s the kind of thing you do when you know it’s over for you,” O’Brien joked.

After O’Brien got hit in the knuckle in the air, Rogen looked dumbfounded. “I am very happy with what just happened,” he said. “I wasn’t expecting any of this.”

Rogen’s guest appearance on Conan was one of TBS’s last shows. The show, which premiered in November of 2010, is nearing its end on June 24.

O’Brien’s Next Up is a weekly variety show he is developing for HBO Max, as part of his new deal with WarnerMedia.
