What new features will Windows 11 include?

Here are some of the notable new features in Windows 11:

New Mac-like interface. Windows 11 has a clean design with rounded corners, pastel shades, and a Start menu and taskbar in the middle. Integrated Android apps. Android apps will be available on Windows 11 and installable from within the new Microsoft Store via the Amazon Appstore. (There were two ways to access Android apps on Windows 10, including if you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, but this will make it original.) While they’ve been around for a while (remember the desktop gadgets on Windows Vista?), including in the latest Windows 10 update, you can now access widgets right from the taskbar and customize them to see what you want. Microsoft Teams integration. Teams is undergoing a facelift and will be integrated directly into the Windows 11 taskbar, making it easier to access (a bit like Apple’s FaceTime). You’ll be able to access Teams from Windows, Mac, Android, or iOS. Xbox technology for better gaming. Windows 11 will get certain features found on Xbox consoles, such as Auto HDR and DirectStorage, to improve gameplay on your Windows PC. Better virtual desktop support. Windows 11 will allow you to set up virtual desktops in a way much like Macs, where you can switch between multiple desktops at once for personal use, at work, school or gaming. Easier transition from screen to laptop and better multitasking. The new operating system includes features called Snap Groups and Snap Layouts – groups of apps you use simultaneously that are in the taskbar, and can be displayed or minimized at the same time for easier task switching. It also allows you to connect and detach the screen more easily, without losing the place of open windows.

Windows 11 images leaked about a week before the event, so we had an idea of some of the features ahead of time.

Microsoft Teams will be integrated directly into the Windows 11 taskbar, which is now centered in the screen.
