Buenos Aires (UrduPoint News/Sputnik – July 04, 2021) The National Seismological Center said a 5.9-magnitude earthquake occurred in northern Chile, close to the city of Huasco.
The earthquake was recorded at 9:01 p.m. local time Saturday (01:01 GMT) at a depth of more than 24 kilometers (about 15 miles).
Another tremor was recorded at 0:29 pm, with a magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter scale and a depth of 34.5 km.
There were no reports of injuries or property damage.
