Amanda Kloots honored her late husband Nick Cordero in a heartbreaking tribute Monday, one year after his death from complications from COVID-19.
“Today it hurts, there’s no other way to get over it,” wrote Kloots, who co-hosted the daytime talk show “The Talk” on CBS. “A year ago you left us and became our angel in heaven.”
Cordero, the Broadway star, has died at the age of 41 after suffering from severe COVID-19 complications for more than three months and spending weeks in a medical coma.
“What happened was out of the question, losing you was my biggest fear. I’ve been telling you the whole time, don’t you dare go anywhere. Klotts wrote on Instagram along with a montage of photos and videos of her late husband. If I lose you, I don’t know what to do.”
“There wasn’t a day this year that you didn’t miss and think about and talk about. Thank you for being our guardian angel, for sending me signs, for being my DJ in heaven.”
Kloots and Cordero wed in 2017 and share a son, Elvis, who turned two last month.
“We only had a few short years together but it was filled with so much love, laughter, adventure, dreams, change and growth. It was my Nick era and I will forever be there,” Kloots wrote.
She set her slide show on “A Few Stars Apart” by Lucas Nilsson.
