Kelly Ripa and her family finally got a chance to celebrate some “late” family milestones.
On Monday, the 50-year-old TV presenter shared a series of snaps on Instagram of her brooding trip to Italy and Greece over the Fourth of July weekend.
Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, took pictures with their three children — Michael, 24, Lola, 20, and Joaquin, 18 — and members of Mark’s family, including his sister Adriana and her three daughters.
In the comment, Ripa explained that the extended family originally planned to take a vacation to celebrate the graduation of her eldest son and niece, but the plans have been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Last year’s graduation trip for our eldest son and niece was delayed long enough to become a graduation trip for the newborns too!” Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host joked. She posted three photos of the group looking happy and relaxed, dressed in all-white on a boat, smiling on the beach and strolling around a local attraction.

Last May, Michael graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of Art. At the time, Ripa celebrated the big moment with a adorable snapshot on her Instagram Story.
“This kid! #NYU #2020,” she wrote above the photo, showing the graduate wearing a NYU shirt and raising her thumb. Next to him, Ripa was holding a tassel with a symbol that read “Proud Mom”.

Ripa has previously opened up about her son’s major achievement, admitting on the May 2020 episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan that she was a bit disappointed that he wouldn’t have a traditional graduation party due to the pandemic.
The story continues
“We’ve had some anxiety about being quarantined in our house recently, but I think that seems more than the end of things,” she said at the time. “Because I realize that my eldest son, my eldest son, will be graduating from college in a couple of days, which is definitely not what we were expecting.”

Last month, Consuelos’ youngest kid officially became a high school graduate, as Ripa and Mark, 50, celebrated the milestone on social media.
The ABC host posted a series of photos throughout the day on her Instagram Story, starting with a cute photo of her and her Joaquin both wearing a bathrobe—a proud mother’s bathrobe and a graduation robe for her son.
The proud parents later snapped a cute selfie at the graduation party, with the photo captioned, “Graduate! #2021 👨🎓.” Ripa also shared a photo of Joaquin “casually talking” with the school’s start-up spokesperson: Gayle King.
As their youngest child heads off to school in the fall, Ripa also admitted that she and her husband will be “forgotten empty-heads” when Joaquin drops out to attend college.
In March, the teen announced that he would attend the University of Michigan and join the wrestling team.
