One ATF agent was shot in the hand, the other was shot in the side/torso/arm area, and the Chicago police officer was shot in the back of the head, the supervisor said.
“Officers were shot from the street toward the ramp while they were in their car” as they entered Highway 57, he said.
Brown said the officer is the 36th Chicago Police Department officer to have been shot or shot this year. Brown said one ATF agent is a woman and the other agent and police officer are men.
Brown said they were conducting an undercover investigation and were in one unidentified car when they were shot.
“We want to arrest these suspects as quickly as possible,” Brown said.
